I was able to witness the opening bell at the cbot once back in the 90s. The bell rang and all heck broke loose, screaming, shouting and people running everywhere! We left after 15 minutes and corn was up 3/4 of a cent and and the range was only a cent and a half. I remember thinking what would have looked like a ho hum open at home was anything but that in person, haha.
