Nevada, Iowa | I'm getting old so this is probably a repeat but my Dad used to speak of a time when there was no giant foxtail in this area and no european corn borer. Prior to Bt corn, I used to yearn for the prospect of a time when they were not a problem. Now there is a generation that can't recall ECB as a significant problem.
Weeds and bugs will always find a method of migration but the process gets really jacked up in our modern world and sometimes through carelessness. | |
