Traveler - 1/22/2017 20:19 Are these a good way of feeding bred heifers/cows? Could feed everything through feed wagon but normally unroll whatever hay I can to save grinding costs. Normally feed on the frozen ground in a field but the mud this year may force a different plan
We use Werkmyster Bunks they have a lip that prevent the cows from rooting the feed out and have a bar across the top. We have never lost a cow in one. Less waste than feeding in regular bunks or on the ground.
