Central IA | It all depends on the adaptor. In most cases adapting from HDMI to VGA is not allowed. HDMI uses an encrypted signal as they don't want you to be able to record the video or audio (like duplicating blue ray movies to resell) this is possiable as HDMI is a digital signal. VGA is significantly different in its delivery. If it works for your application I have had good luck going from an InCommands HDMI to a DVI-D using an adaptor. Most projectors have a DVI-D as well (white plug). If you have to go from HDMI to change you will need a powered converter adaptor, they are available just harder to find.
