If you want to make excuses to smoke that is fine. Have you ever watched someone die from emphysema? I have witnessed it first hand a few times. It is incredibly ugly. Lung cancer is almost a walk in the park compared with emphysema. COPD is no day at the beach either. Given that we know for a fact that these conditions are directly linked to smoking, you either have a death wish or are not too bright. It is a filthy habit that wreaks havoc on the body and exposes people around the smoker to hazards as well. Not to mention the amount of money it has cost the nation in healthcare costs. By all means smoke on.
I have watched someone die from emphysema from when I was age 13 to age 20. I was the caregiver from age 15 to 20 as my mother left when I was 15 and I stayed with my dad because he was sick with it. He died at 50 in 1980. His emphysema was NOT because of smoking. His emphysema was because of an enzyme deficiency. Please read.
