Subject: RE: Corn piles?

Would assume YES....IF one has a large increase in grain piles, one would assume a big crop and that will not help a seller receive a tighter basis.
Urgency to move the corn or lack of self life is a big problem until it is under a roof or in a rail car/end users hand. I believe shortly after harvest rail cars values within some Class 1 rail roads dropped sharply and today spot rail car freight on a few of the Class 1 rail roads is up sharply for the spot market. IMO....that indicates some commercials are needed freight upfront and HAVE to move something.
Bean piles are still coming up as well. Here again ... could also be affecting the nearby bid/offer for nearby rail cars.
