| I agree with the fact that going through winter, much like last years winter up through March -April time frame when we start to get better grasp of actual planting intentions, ability to plant with weather issues that WILL come up, always do. and then May -July see how the heat or lack there of create problems...
With carryover we have at this point, the markets lack much motivation to move. However!!! Positive facts are that Managed Funds and Hedge funds are both getting some sizeable investments into the grain markets again so once the markets begin to shift and traders begin to believe they can make some good money on trades, the market will be very volatile and move quickly.
I don't believe it will be a long winded price increase, but there will be some opportunities and believe farmers should be meeting with grain elevators, grain marketers and brokers to get their price strategies in place and ready.
This market report begins to setup the markets for 2017 rally, so don't anticipate being able to empty bins in near future at much better prices on Corn especially. Soybeans we may have some upside potential with issues in South America with crops. There is an open gap on 2017 Soybean chart near $11, traders love to take positions to get those futures to open gaps for profit taking positions.
