They said the Dollar went down yesterday during Trump's presser...???  Is that a sign of things to come?

A couple things yesterday..

a) Local Wheat basis is definitely a segmented market.. Our elevators are low bidders cause they are slugged with Low Pro Wheat.. probably a third or more is less than 10%.  I tried to buy some but the seller was current..  "tight farmer holdings.. probably still holding  25% or more of last years crop..  A LARGE percentage will probably be carried into harvest 2017.. blended crop.. blended price.  Golly the poor suckers who hauled higher pro wheat to the elevators are getting robbed right now.. 12's worth ALMOST a DOLLAR higher...  "so it goes."  

The Railroads need to put some programs together to move shuttles out of Central.. and  Western Kansas to the PNW.. blend it with higher pro HRW out of Northern States..  hmm.. that might work..?? 

stuff is moving.. we should have room for harvest... certainly as..

b) Corn crop was down.. golly looks like I was high.. noted a lot of 150 to 165 bu IRRIGATED Corn in the draw area.. total in take of corn was DOWN 7% give or take vs 2015.

c) Local elevator started picking up it's LAST pile of Sorghum.



Probably less wheat being fed.. only hog feeders..and some farmer feeders.. (non-flakers..) blend blend blend.. is the program.. which means more corn fed then thought on a lower crop.. again W Kansas had a dryland crop.. nearing the end of the cheap Sorghum.. thus more corn going into the grind soon.. as basis is picking up.. 

Corn basis at -.60 at gut slut.. up to -10 to -20's.. now. 

If we get a bearish reaction to Soybeans on report today.. I'm canceling bean seed.. I'm not gonna plant beans which I don't have locked in below $10.. average thus far is $10.33..

Oh.. we did get a pickup in US production yesterday on Crude..  ( https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=WCRFP... ) inventories from pump tanks or the real deal?  Too soon to tell yet.. both..??

as well as another RECORD in the ethanol grind at 1,049.. 

  I'm also hearing that the conversion is not as good as last year..???
