We did a little rearranging in the house and now the laptop is in the basement and the wifi router is upstairs at the top of the steps to the basement and the laptop is about 10ft. from the bottom of the steps. Is there a trick to getting wifi to go down hill? The Ipad I have in the basement seems to work fine in the same location, If I look at the wifi speed on the laptop, it is around 120-150 mbps. If I take the laptop upstairs, the wifi seems to work fine. Is there a device to plug into the usb of the laptop to make it pick up the wifi signal better? TIA.
