Iowa | Ha! So I was not the only one.
My account was frozen for and then transferred to ADM. The broker sent out a request for a lot of my personal financial information to keep the account open. At that point, I was fed up with the whole deal, was not willing to give anyone my personal financial info (all things considered, they all should have been giving me their financial information), and did have much use for the account anyway. Most everyone I was doing business with had been offering a good enough selection of basis & price contracts to suit my needs. Eventually, ADM sent me a check for the remaining 72% of my original account value. IF MF Global really did shell out the money for the other 28%, someone else pocketed my share of it. MF Global illegally hacked my account and lost my money. MF Global or the folks representing MF Global did not see to it that I got the money back.
