| Not good but a Holiday period.
If we reach the level of sales from 1-1 to 9-1 that we had two years ago (when South America had an ample supply) we reach the current USDA 2.225 billion corn export figure and would hit 2.090 billion on soybean sales or 40 million over the 2.050 figure currently shown.
A lot may happen yet and it is my feeling we could exceed the two year ago level as South America will need some of their early harvest to replenish local stocks before exports pick back up but could catch up later.
Any weather problems there (or a lack thereof) could still move these figures by 50 to 150 million bushel either way.
It will be interesting to watch and of course the dollar may have something to say as well. | |
