SE Iowa | The Matrice's flight time of 40 minutes is nice, but the cost of $8300 is expensive (compared to a phantom 4 with NIR)
Depending on where you get the NIR camera, it may range in price. Here is an example:
Sentera Single NIR mounted on a Phantom 4 is about $3500, and the flight time is about 25 minutes.
Also, be warned of DataMapper. For starters, everythign is REALLY expensive! To run an algorithm (for example, stand counting) it will cost you about $200/year to own, and $25/use to apply. You can see how DataMapper really makes a lot of money off of you.
Plus, their stitching jobs are sub-par. Take a look at an example below. It was flown with an Ebee NIR camera.
What I would do is own a Phantom 4, and fly a Sentera sensor on it. Or, get a Matrice (not through PrecisionHawk) and mount a multispectral under it. Then let DroneDeploy process the imagery.
Just my thoughts
