Saronville NE | Here on irrigated alfalfa I need minimum of $85 a ton to BE. Idk where this $50-70 ton hay is but isn't in my area. Ive got more sold this year at this point then I have in several years and nothing under $80 yet. But I'm not making money. Mine is getting tore up and planted to white corn for next year, that I have quite a little forward contracted already at $4+, that actually makes some money.
Had a feedlot tell me they have bought enuff alfalfa to get to next Aug for 55-65 laid in. But yet my phone is ringing off the hook for hay this year and nobody says a word at 80-85, just ask when I can load them. | |
