I'd have to re-read the article, but I didn't get the impression they would never buy from co-ops (middlemen), just that they cut out the middleman as a sourcer of their feedstock and are instead doing that themselves.
But in time, they could do 100% from growers---if they contracted us to grow it.....similar to their pork model....
