Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | Last spring I was surprised how resistant producers were to abandon corn for beans. Now, the scuttlebutt is that producers will plant big acres of soybeans. First, is this rumor widespread? Second, sure soybeans paid well this year but it was partly due to Brazil's problems and partly due to the modest US acres planted. Now that Brazil's crop is looking more likely, any substantial increase in US acres would just be adding insult to injury.
So, given these factors, will producers make the same mistake with soybeans that they did with corn this past year? |
