Central/Northeast Missouri
I use 'docs beef jerky recipe' off of google on beef and deer here lately. Kinda salty but I love it. You can play with the quantities to make it sweeter or saltier depending on your taste.

recipe:

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon meat tenderizer
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika.

I'll normally put it in a ziploc bag overnight with 1 pound or so of cut meat and let marinade overnight, then in the dehydrator it goes in the morning before work and by the time i'm home it done or close to done. Enjoy!
