Long ago I was at an ag meeting and it was mentioned that NH3 killed earth worms.  It was pointed out that we raise corn, not earth worms.  As the years have progressed the yields have too.  Those 100 bu per acre have climbed  2 ½ times, I don't know about the earth worms.
