I was going to mention Second Hand Lion as one of my all time favorites. I think its probably age appropriate as well- there is some fist fighting and sabre rattling going on though. No blood though that I can remember.
If the kids are into motorsports, I really like Worlds Fastest Indian as well.
My Grand kids really like seeing Escanaba In the Moonlight- but part of it is that our cabin is in the area it was filmed and they recognize a lot of the scenery. I have some friends who were extras in the movie. They think Jimmer Negamanee from Menominee is a scream.
