Yes, there is nothing terribly wrong with grandparents spoiling grand children. As long as the parents can maintain discipline when they come back home. The kids need to realize that Mom and Dad's is not Grammy and Gramps, and they will behave when they get home.

Tough spot, and the advice is right you need to get your wife on the same page. I would have already run out of patience and laid down the law about how much time they come over. Sounds like there is some rivalry going on, and taking advantage of your wife's condition to over-step some bounds.

Undermining your authority is where I would draw the line if it was me.
