Independence OR | We single cut some of our acreage. we normally double cut most all of the established fields and single cut our first year stands or really weak older ones. Spearmint is all double cut. swath timing plays a role on the oil composition so depending on what the end users want that can also play a role on determining swathing timing. Grass seed straw prices have dropped a lot, but straw is moving good again. the port strike really messed things up for a while. less acres are getting baled, and that really has helped things too. | |
