Don't overlook the 8.1/allison combo in that generation. Rare to fine but worth it. Sometimes people don't know what they have.
+1 on the 8.1/allison. They have tons of power and are a reliable motor, just seem to start to use oil. You'll pass anything except a gas station but they are a bit hard to find. Like others said Craigslist or eBay from the south/southwest would be your best bet to find a deal, just have to make a bit of a trip to get it. |
