Ottawa, Ontario | My Chinese neighbour says that they don't eat cat or dog in China......... BUT the Koreans on the other hand......they will eat anything that moves.
He said he has eaten both cat and dog at different times, and dog is actually quite delicious.
Quite delicious, coming from a china man. I've been to several meals at his home and he has served cow's stomach, squid, octopus, sea fish, crab, and lots of things I couldn't identify.
He had a ground hog in his back yard and he asked me if he could eat it ? I pointed at his freind Lee, who speaks zero english, and I said "Sure, Lee can eat it" he got the joke.
He told me that Koreans will eat mice or rats that they catch out in the field, but they won't eat rodents caught in their homes because they are "dirty" from eating garbage from around the home, while the outdoor rodents have been eating grain.
