Seems to be the case with all Internet providers. When the kids get home from school around 3:30 it bogs down and remains slow until around midnight. I figure everyone comes home gets online and starts streaming TV and movies. Supposed to be getting 3mbs service here and lucky to get 1.5 -2.0 during better times sometimes during peak it's little better than dial up. Complain to Windstream about lack of performance and just get well you are in an area with older copper wiring that's scheduled for upgrades in the future. Been hearing that for years. They want to upgrade service and price but if they can't deliver this speed how can they possibly deliver anything better. Interesting I hear other rural DSL folks around the country with better speeds or being upgraded in speed for the same price. It's better than dial up but sometimes not a whole lot faster during peak loads. |
