Central South Dakota | Our plan went up to roughly $24000 per year and we can only qualify for one plan, so its take it or leave it. Family of 3.
South Dakota is becoming terrible because Sanford and Avera are in such a huge pissing match with each other. BCBS dumped their plan, Avera bought up Dakota Care, Sanford has no facilities close to us, so we get stuck with Avera.
They should have never allowed hospitals to become insurance companies period. Avera doesn't want you going to Sanford and Sanford doesn't want you using Avera and they design their plans to hold a person hostage to the hospital who's insurance you have.
A true insurance company wouldn't care if Avera or Sanford provided the care as long as it was satisfactory care at the cheapest possible cost to the insurance company.
Instead we are held hostage to one hospital so they can continue to build multi-million dollar facilities to try to out do each other because both hospitals continually feel inadequate to the other when they pull the rulers out for the longest peter contest. | |
