We were with Medi Share for a while until I got in full time at the Postal Service and got insurance through them.   Never had a claim, but one thing I didn't like was some of their dictatorial rules, such as you have to wear a seat belt or we won't pay if you get in a crash.   The other thing was the rates go up every year, you get a letter a couple weeks before your birthday telling you it's increasing.

The another thing is they basically decide how they are going to pay you, regardless of how big you claim is.    They can cut you off at any point and let you sit there.

We never checked, but I've hear Samaritan's is the same concept but better run.    Might be worth looking at.
