far sNSW , Australia | Some of you may have seen how the back axle of my 7800 broke. A couple of days ago a neighbor brought his big loader over and got it up off the ground and on blocks and jack. Need to pull off the final drive. Is it reasonably simple? The cab mount has to come off. Hoping the circle of big bolts once removed allows the housing to come out on pallet on forks. Any tricks, or do I need to talk to local JD service manager. I have a 2nd hand axle and am planning on taking it to JD for them to swap axles and put it back into tractor. Be making sure they use very little heat to get bearing off shaft.
