Subject: RE: J D wheel wedges

Central Illinois

I move the tire for molboard plowing.

I have one that has slipped twice (after moving tire back in and putting dual back on).

The next time, I tightened the wedge up, lowered jack, drove in a few circles or figure 8's, then re-jacked and re-tightened bolts. Didn't slip that time.

This last time, I tightened the wedge, then hit the end of the axle with a sledge several times, then re-tightened bolts. Did this until I couldn't seem to get the bolts tighter. Just had some ends to finish with chisel plow, didn't seem to slip (yet).
