I don't have much to say about the farmland, but one thing I've learned while dealing with banks on real estate deals is that they love W-2s. So while it's great that you have big dreams, if you're going to reach them (and don't have deep pockets to begin with) you're going to have to do your time not being the boss while earning and saving money.
