Parties and wedding/baby showers.........if I know there will be games, I will make an effort to stay home. It's just not my 'thing' at all, hate every second of it. And sadly, when I do get cornered into playing, it's not unusual for me to win. Still hate it.  Would so much rather just have a chance to visit with people I don't see every day, laugh with friends and relax. But that's just me. 

If I'm having people in to our home, I prefer to do lots of different finger food/appetizer type things and let people just wander and graze and visit. I enjoy trying new recipes that are served in small portions instead of a full meal. But the people are what's fun about any gathering.
