Embarrass WI
When you cross driveways, bury a pipe and run the wire through it for protection. By the pine trees, you can just lay the wire on top of the ground as long as you don't mow under them. The only reason the wire gets buried is to protect it from damage. Staple it in place with landscape staples.

When I buried my invisible fence wire, I got heavier(12 or 14 ga, can't recall)wire from our electrician instead of the hair-thin stuff that came with the kit. It's been in the ground for 10-12 years at least, no problems except when me or a contractor wrecked it.

The invisible fence works great-if you take the time to train the dog to it properly.

Von made up an installer for dog fence wire- http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=83979
