Lancaster, OH | My great grandfather supposedly was an orphan from Tennessee. The family speculation is that he was a local born out of wedlock and was taken in by the family.
My great grandfather on the other side was driving cattle with his family from Tennessee to Richmond, KY to the stockyards where there was a railroad track and higher prices. They rested their cattle on the Sexton farm, my great grandmother's family. After selling the cattle, he came back and married her. I'm betting there is more intrigue in this story. | |
