We run a chopping 608C and have a friend about 50 miles south of me that has a 612C chopping and put calmer knife rolls on. I believe factory deere has 6 spikes on a knife roll or 8 and the calmer has 10. He said he loves his and he just turns the choppers off on the head. Everything that goes through the knife rolls is chopped into dust
