Not true, I modified a few semi-mounted plows to use on tractors setup for 30" rows without moving wheels. The center of draft was off if you go by the manual, but they pulled and plowed as they normally would. I didn't move the cross bar, left those as they were since we use side hill hitches, instead changed the beam frame work running up to the hitch pivot.
