Same here, to me thats the difference in mentality between west of the Missouri and east of it. I would much rather give up a little top end on a good year and still do well in a bad one, than be the toast of the coffee shop one year, and the laughing stock of it the next.
The years are so variable "here" that consistancy is all you can go for really. This year XX hybrid might blow everyone out of the water by 30bu, next year, same field, same number, it might be 50bu behind everyone, just because of variables that are out of our control |
