What are you feeding that your high on Ca and low on P? Usually it's the other way around.
If you're feeding good alfalfa hay you can be very high in Ca and rotten for P.
I would be careful feeding something like 11-48-0. Remember years ago asking the sales agent why they gray was a totally different shade in two different areas in the pile in his shed. He explained that they used some crude oil to color the stuff.
Likely it was just a very very small percentage but I don't think that's the kind of stuff you want to put through any animal.
If you could get your hands on some soft rock phosphate that should be different but that's down in southern Idaho or, if they got the mine going, west of Sparwood BC.
Either way your freight would kill you. |
