Offer is still open John. To be clear, I'm not saying that DP is a great thing for producers, just that it is not as sinister as it get portrayed here. I get the feeling that many think holding the grain off the market can make the basis explode. That is far from reality. Ask Ray, EI or KK, us lowly basis traders will have offers stacked in to move inventory for few extra pennies.... No where near what was given up on the board this summer.
Agree with KK on the different contracts. We see the same thing. Our best marketers keep things very simple, they have multiple years of targets working and they hardly ever store. They are decisive and recognize it is cheaper to store money than grain.
