Any time I've changed filters I've just turned key on and listened for all the air to be purged. It started fine every time. We do have an issue with leaky fuel lines . If tractor sits for a time with less than half a tank of fuel it's tough to start. Air must get in the lines. Keep it above half and there's never a problem.
