I have heard that the holder covers the home button. They say put a case on the phone and that would expose the home button, 2 cut the plastic to expose the home button, 3 on at least the newer phones you can go into setting, general,accessibility,assistivetouch,turn on. That will put a home button on the screen that can be moved around
