Buxton ND
Their margin calls THEIR rules, personally I see no problem with doing a 70/30 split, they also have their rules/auditors to keep happy.
HTA or FF - Futures Fixed as they call them up here. These always used to be free up here til 2008. Your local is hedging YOUR grain on board, THEY pay margin call to cover YOUR hedges. I see no problem with charging .06 to do this to next July. Why ? say a "Chernobyl" type world event would happen,,,,,
Corn goes from 3.50 to 6.50 would you like to margin that $3 your self ? ? ? ? ?
Or would you like to pay the .06 ? ? ? ? ?
