| I have a MacBook Pro(15") now and had a MacBook previously. I'm used to the structure and operating system. This past year my spouse ran into problems with her PC laptop and I convinced her to make the move for many reasons. Her uptake has been a combination of glee and anger. She depends on me to occasionally to bail her out when she loses her mind and goes a bit crazy. After a year with the system she is settling in. Most programs and the new MS Office work well. There are some CAD and engineering programs that need Windows or UNIX but as someone says you can run both OSX and Windows. This can be done by parallel sharing or switching through on and off procedures.
