On farm storage has always had it's place and still does. Even when there are surpluses and prices suck there is many times carry in the market which in and of itself can make storage profitable. Of course there are those that believe you should have storage for two or three crops and weld the bin doors shut every time corn drops below $5. Those are the bins that can lose you money. Storage is like anything else. It is a tool to be used in your marketing plan and has to be managed.
