EC NE | No, the base station & airtime is a separate deal; no affiliation with Verizon or AT&T but Straight Talk uses their systems.
Airtime should cost you about $15 per mo.
They have an auto-pay program if you want to use it.
Straight Talk consistently gets good reviews!
I believe Straight Talk is owned by TracFone.
I see they have a free refurb.-hardware offer.
