| This will be likely be the last of the big ARC/CO payment for sometime in the corn belt. This year we merely substituted a low price/high yield year with a similar one five years ago. Next year we will replace another low price/high yield year with a HIGH PRICE/decent yield year. There are three HIGH price years rolling off in the next 3 years. This will drastically reduce or get rid of the price support program in most of the corn belt starting next year. Remember they do not start paying out until the price x yield is 86% of the Olympic average, so program is not set up to pay each year by design. | |
