The Coop at Satanta..  United Prairie Ag  ( http://www.unitedpag.com/ ) as of the close yesterday was bidding..

$2.99 for corn or $5.34 per cwt vs $2.72 for wheat or $4.53 per cwt.. 85% of the cost of corn.

Wheat is cheaper on a cwt basis all the way over to us.. and the spread gets bigger out in the Texas Panhandle.

In the Texas High Plains grain markets the bulk of bids were 15 to 22 cents higher on grain sorghum; 8 to 9 cents lower on wheat; and 9 to 10 cents higher on corn.

The front months of the futures were 9.25 cents higher on corn and 8.50 cents lower on KW wheat.     

Prices paid or bid to producers delivered to country elevators as of 3:00 p.m.   Grain sorghum quoted per hundredweight; wheat, corn and soybeans per bushel.
