| Since mid June the value of a finished hog has gone down about 2.5ish dollars for every dollar decrease in the feed to get him finished.
Given the fact that grains have a low that is way more than 0 (loan price) and can be stored to wait for a rally, or to pick up carry in the market, grain really can't do a flush like livestock can.
In the race to zero, pigs and maybe dairy too are so far ahead of any grain price that there is really no comparison. | |
