Try a Scandisc or disccleanup then a Defrag. Do an analysis in the defrag and take note of fragmentation percentage, then defrag and check percent frag again. keeping it under 4% is objective. Getting it to 0 is best.
All that was done, spyware and virus scans also. Sometimes it seems fair like now, others it is very slow.
