Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
Quote: "Producers in Mato Grosso negotiated their supplies for the 2016/17 campaign with the dollar at $3.66 (Real ??) on average. Now it is closer to $3.20, so supply purchases were made at a higher price than the current value that sacks of soybeans will be sold for today. According to Imea, only 27% of the coming soybean harvest has been sold. With current production costs of US$920 per hectare, soybean farmers will need to produce at least 53 sacks per hectare. Compounding matters is a local shortage of seeds. “We cannot err in our calculations.""
Only 27% sold. Looks like the South American producers aren't going to make the same mistake twice.
