Subject: Trouble Shooting 2388 Mst. Sensor??

Kalona, IA

I have a 2388 with a Pro 600 monitor. Last fall about 3/4 done my mst reading went wacko. On a new startup it would seem to be ok for several minutes and then the error message would come up saying it was out of range. It seemed to do that every time I rebooted. It would then stay that way until the next reboot. The one thing I noticed is that the Temp reading would be well above actual temps. Old AgLeader monitors could be manually calibrated but this cannot be. I finished up just using the manual setting.

Is my moisture sensor bad? The motor on the elevator mount is working and running when grain is being elevated up the clean grain.

PS. I bought a used sensor at a consignment auction and the Temp readout is about one degree higher yet then the original (about 15 degree over actual temps) so that was probably $50 wasted. Haven't tried it yet in actual combining conditions but am thinking false temp readouts are probably an indication of problems. Am I right or wrong??

Thanks!
