Northwest Iowa | On a followup- On Friday at the homecoming game, we were surprised in the 3rd quarter when we looked out and saw Jon running onto the field with a helmet on. The players lined up (both teams), the ball was snapped and handed off to Jon. The blocking was really good(wink, wink) and he ran about 75 yards for a touch down. The whole team went out and congratulated him. Of course, no time on clock elapsed and the points did not count. Thanks to both teams and officials. I am not sure if the kingship or the touchdown was a bigger thrill for him. This would not have happened in every community. Small town America, my hat is off to you! thanks to all for following this story.
