Texas | I did not know the difference between a mushroom and a toadstool either; so, I researched them. My conclusion, there is no difference; but toadstool is more commonly used for poisonous mushrooms, and mushroom for consumable mushrooms. However, both poisonous and consumable can be called either.
So, the next time I order pizza I and going to request toadstools for a topping; ok, that might be a bad idea, maybe I better stick to requesting mushrooms. :)
